Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to this role, though additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:
- Set up and operate various machinery utilized in the fabrication, production, and assembly of components across multiple departments.
- Manage equipment that facilitates the complete fabrication of components and assemblies into final products.
- Ensure optimal maintenance and operation of all machinery to achieve high efficiency and quality standards, adhering to specified tolerances and work specifications.
- Measure and assess all quality parameters of components and assemblies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Handle all inventory-related transactions and effectively manage the movement of materials (raw materials, work in progress, finished goods) to maintain seamless operations.
- Support, mentor, and train new operators to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved training program for setting up and operating equipment related to fabrication and/or assembly in manufacturing and/or shipping departments.
- Ability to measure and inspect all fabricated and assembled products using advanced mathematical skills, including trigonometry, along with various precision measuring instruments and production equipment.
- Experience with production equipment such as CNC machines, multi-machine workstations, and relevant technical software applications, demonstrating thorough technical knowledge.
- Prior experience equivalent to a recognized apprenticeship in a trade or a 2-year technical college education or Journeyman designation.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership regarding work schedules and quality standards.
- Adaptable to changes to support a fast, flexible, and efficient operational environment.
- Collaborative team member committed to working with colleagues across departments to enhance processes.
- Capable of making decisions to perform various tasks across departments while managing time constraints.
