Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:
  • Exhibit a vibrant, sociable, and enjoyable demeanor while upholding a professional standard.
  • Execute diverse tasks to guarantee adherence to the proper service protocols.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and friendly service to all patrons.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and guests alike.
  • Blend ingredients and craft cocktails and various beverages according to established recipes.
  • Serve wine, along with bottled or draft beer.
  • Receive beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
  • Engage in clear, patient, and humorous communication with both co-workers and guests.
  • Complete all assigned side tasks diligently.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of products to enhance guest experiences and promote food and beverage sales.
  • Verify guests' identification to confirm compliance with minimum age regulations for alcohol consumption.
  • Promote and present current offers to guests.
  • Accurately document and process all orders, ensuring secure payment from guests.
  • Maintain precise records of all sales and receipts, documenting tips in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications for the Bartender Role:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bartending within high-volume establishments.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, champagnes, non-alcoholic beverages, appropriate glassware, preparation techniques, and garnishes.
  • Formal training in bartending is preferred.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements as mandated by state regulations.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interactions with guests, kitchen staff, wait staff, and supervisors.
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state authorities.
  • Reading and writing skills are frequently utilized for order taking and paperwork completion.
  • Basic mathematical skills are often necessary.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Physical Requirements for the Bartender Position:
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (such as barware, boxes, bottles, etc.).
  • Efficient and safe movement throughout the bar, lounge, and kitchen areas.
  • Effective and safe handling of food, objects, products, and utensils.
  • Capability to bend, stand, stoop, and kneel as needed.
