The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault program offers critical support to individuals facing these challenges, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency housing, and court advocacy. Our services extend across multiple counties, ensuring that survivors receive the help they need in a safe and confidential environment.

The Sexual Assault Advocate plays a vital role in developing and delivering support services for survivors in the region. This position involves regular travel to various counties to provide in-person advocacy and may require some evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with community professionals, service organizations, educational institutions, and civic groups.
  • Provide direct support to survivors of sexual assault, including both adults and children.
  • Enhance community awareness and education regarding sexual assault through presentations and outreach initiatives.
  • Assist victims during court processes, including preparation and attendance at hearings.
  • Collaborate with the program team to recruit, train, and engage volunteers in outreach efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to making a difference and supporting those in need.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of social work principles and practices.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
