Position: Manufacturing Line Specialist

ANTONIO SOFO & SON is a prominent player in the cheese processing and distribution sector in the United States. We are currently seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Line Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line, specifically focused on cheese handling and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment and workspace for efficient production operations.
  • Unpack and handle cheese products with care.
  • Remove packaging materials from cheese items.
  • Transport products and raw materials within the production area using appropriate equipment.
  • Slice cheese into specified portions using manual tools.
  • Manage the removal of cheese from packaging during processing.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure standards are met.
  • Package completed products for distribution.
  • Weigh and label jars or containers accurately.
  • Organize and stack packaged goods on pallets, ensuring stability.
  • Utilize a baler for cardboard waste management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area.
  • Minimize product and material waste during operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Operate industrial vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Proficient in reading and communicating in English.
  • Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing work conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift weights ranging from 60 to 80 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in cooler environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Collaborative lifting of heavy items with assistance.
  • Willingness to operate industrial trucks.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.

Work Schedule:

  • 1st Shift - Monday through Friday
  • Start Time: 7:00 AM to 4:00 or 4:30 PM based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $17.00
