Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team at Tri-S Recruiters. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware for complex digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop firmware for high-speed digital systems using Verilog and VHDL
  • Architect and partition high-speed DSP designs to meet system requirements
  • Work closely with software, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure firmware implementations meet product requirements
  • Participate in all phases of FPGA design flow, from concept to mass production
  • Develop high-level design requirements and block-level micro-architectures, and create specification documents
  • Optimize designs for area, speed, and power to meet system requirements
  • Prototype designs on FPGA, focusing on closely emulating final product functionality
Requirements:
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, or equivalent engineering
  • 20 years of experience in Verilog or VHDL designs
  • Ability to architect and partition high-speed DSP designs
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ and Xilinx IP cores
  • Understanding of device architectures and tradeoffs in implementing complex algorithms
  • Image processing and image compression experience
  • Talented in generating engineering documentations
  • Aerospace experience is a plus
