Key Responsibilities

  • Program Development
    • Develop and implement high-quality childcare programs that meet the needs of children and families.
    • Plan and execute daily activities, including arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and train childcare staff to ensure they are providing high-quality care and education to children.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Parent Communication
    • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure they are informed about their child's daily activities and progress.
    • Respond to parent inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, attendance tracking, and record-keeping.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as CoxHealth's policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Education
    • At least 9 child-related college hours or Child Development Associates (CDA) certification.
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to make quick decisions and prioritize tasks.
    • Effective leadership and time management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Must obtain Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/FA/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
