Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the parking and transportation needs of guests, which includes tasks such as driving and parking vehicles, assisting with luggage, and providing transportation to various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate guest vehicles from the motor court to the designated parking area and return them upon request.
- Drive resort shuttles to local attractions and the airport as required.
Attendance and Compliance
Consistent attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Employees must adhere to attendance standards, and those with irregular attendance may face disciplinary measures.
Due to the nature of the hospitality sector, employees may be required to work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the establishment. Attendance at all mandatory training sessions and meetings is also expected.
All employees must comply with the operational guidelines set forth by Salamander to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Violations of these guidelines may result in disciplinary action.
Additional Duties
Alongside the essential functions, this position may involve performing various supportive tasks as determined by management based on the hotel's specific requirements.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computational and computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software and Excel.
Physical Requirements
This role involves both indoor and outdoor tasks. Employees should be prepared to stand for extended periods and engage in walking throughout their shifts. The ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly is required, along with manual dexterity for operating necessary equipment.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, although prior experience is not mandatory. Some interaction with the public is beneficial.
Licenses
A valid state driver's license is required for this position.
Grooming Standards
Employees are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with Salamander standards.
