At The Terrace at Beverly Lake A Memory Care Residence, we are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments according to scheduled times and medication administration protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and fellow employee information.
  • Notify Resident Care Coordinator/Executive Director/RN of resident changes in condition.
  • Assist with monthly medication records as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart.
  • Have knowledge of and demonstrate proper technique for using various medical equipment, including gait belts, transfer boards, oxygen equipment, and more.
  • Take accurate vital signs and weights.
  • Fill in for the receptionist and caregiver as needed.
  • Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator.
  • Keep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Attends in-services monthly required for position.
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population.
