At The Terrace at Beverly Lake A Memory Care Residence, we are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medication administration protocols and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and staff, and contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments according to scheduled times and protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information
  • Notify Resident Care Coordinator/Executive Director/RN of resident changes in condition
  • Assist with monthly medication records as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Med room and Med cart
  • Have knowledge of and be able to demonstrate proper technique for various medical equipment
  • Take accurate vital signs and weights
  • Fill-in for receptionist and caregiver as needed
  • Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff

Requirements:

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Attends in-services monthly required for position
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population
