We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Braintree, MA. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.
Responsibilities:- Performs standard vehicle maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties and interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
