We are seeking a dedicated Stroke Neurologist to join our esteemed team at ICON Medical Network. This role is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Required Qualifications- Experience: A minimum of two years in Adult Neurohospitalist practice or Neurocritical care.
- Specialization: Proficient in acute stroke management.
- Employment Type: W2
- Shift Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Minimum Commitment: 7 shifts per month, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Holiday Coverage: Shared rotation among colleagues.
- Practice Model: Engage in a true Neurohospitalist model, managing acute cases in the Emergency Department, providing continuity of care in the ICU or on the floor, and following patients until further consultation is unnecessary. Responsibilities may include EEG interpretation, supervision of employed Neurology APPs, and outpatient tele-neurology clinic coverage, depending on the program.
- Projected Volumes: Anticipate 10-12 acute consults per shift, with an average of 1 acute consult per hour, and the ability to conduct 2 follow-ups per hour or delegate follow-ups to the next team member.
- Expertise in Stroke/tPA management (primarily stroke cases).
- General Neurology proficiency.
- EEG interpretation skills (30-minute, 60-minute, and 24-hour reads).
