Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundskeeper to join our team at Licking & Knox Goodwill Industries Inc. in Newark, OH.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities at The Grove by the River, including lawn care, snow removal, and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain lawn and grounds using riding mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, and other equipment.
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as needed.
  • Gather and dispose of litter.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment, and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance, including plumbing and light electrical work.
  • Properly maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in the work area.
  • Cooperate in a rotating schedule to maintain the cleanliness of grounds.
Requirements
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Meet standard and specialized training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Stand for 4 hours with a break.
  • Have the physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and reach as required to complete the job.
