Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher

BeAbove WorldWide Institute Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality childcare services to families in the Queens, Brooklyn, and Bronx communities. Our centers offer a safe and nurturing environment that supports all aspects of children's growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the individual needs of children, ensuring a sound educational foundation for their academic growth.
  • Provide a positive and creative learning environment that encourages children to learn language, gain autonomy, interact socially, and participate in physical activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an orderly, safe, and attractive classroom environment.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork and documentation as scheduled.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and volunteers as needed.
  • Support the diversity initiatives of the school and promote a culture of inclusivity.
  • Attend meetings and appointments on time and ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • NY State Certification in Early Childhood Education B-2 (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare or school setting.
  • Familiarity with the Creative Curriculum, preschool assessments, and early childhood practices.
  • Ability to complete paperwork, including lesson plans, child assessments, and classroom logs.
