We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Career and Academic Coach to join our team at Bay Area Community Resources. As a key member of our Career Pathway team, you will work closely with participants to create personalized career and education plans, helping them achieve their short- and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement career pathway projects, including career panels, college trips, and career advisory boards
- Support participants with college enrollment, navigating the UC and CSU systems, and completing the FAFSA application process
- Coordinate with workshop staff to create new career and employment readiness workshops
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, GED services, colleges, vocational training programs, and community partners
- Represent the Career Pathway team at workforce meetings in San Francisco
- 3+ years of experience in the workforce field, working with multi-barrier youth and/or adults
- Experience with college counseling or college access support
- Ability to work full-time, with occasional evenings and Saturdays
- Valid California Driver's License and insured, registered vehicle
- Experience with data entry, analysis, and computer literacy
- Bachelor's degree or currently attending college
- Knowledge of Bay Area communities and career and education resources
- Ability to assess crisis situations and initiate action independently
