Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist is a key member of the Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology (EP) team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. This role requires a high level of expertise and technical skills to deliver direct patient care before, during, and after interventional/diagnostic cath lab and EP cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a scrub, circulator assist, and recorder in all interventional/diagnostic cath lab cases
  • Operate equipment in the cath lab
  • Work alongside the EP Cardiologist or Interventional Cardiologist and Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Health Science (cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or ultrasound)
  • 1 year of cardiac cath/EP lab experience preferred
  • Certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiographer (CV), or Vascular Interventional Radiographer (VI)
  • ACLS/PALS/BLS within one year of hire
Work Environment

This is a full-time, day shift position with 4-10 hour shifts per week. Weekend work and call are required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $32.71 - $52.34 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience.
