Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive clinical case management, therapeutic interventions, and community engagement for military personnel and their families, focusing on issues such as child maltreatment, domestic violence, and other forms of familial conflict.

Key Responsibilities
I. Clinical Case Management
Act as the clinical authority on matters related to domestic violence and child maltreatment.
Engage with installation leadership, healthcare professionals, and service members to assess clinical needs, determine appropriate interventions, and implement effective treatment methodologies.

Adhere to established protocols, including local and regional operating procedures, counseling guidelines, and documentation standards.
Conduct initial and ongoing clinical evaluations, providing intervention services for military personnel and their families, particularly those at risk for domestic violence and child maltreatment.

Coordinate safety and treatment planning, establishing personalized treatment objectives that cater to the unique needs of service members and their families.
Perform thorough clinical assessments to identify high-risk scenarios, including potential suicide or homicide risks, and assess the likelihood of further family violence.

Conduct clinical interviews to gather pertinent information regarding clients' issues and assess their needs.
Deliver comprehensive case management services, including identifying situations, educating on mandated reporting protocols, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating safety plans.

Provide therapeutic services for individuals, couples, children, families, and groups dealing with family maltreatment.
Facilitate evidence-based group therapy programs, such as domestic violence offender groups, parenting workshops, and victim support sessions.

Collaborate with the designated victim advocate to ensure that the needs and concerns of victims are adequately addressed.
Present detailed case information during clinical case staff meetings, documenting outcomes and implementing recommendations.

Refer clients to additional service providers as necessary and notify relevant authorities in high-risk situations.
Work with the Family Advocacy Representative to compile and present information from various stakeholders for review by the Incident Determination Committee.

Participate in quality assurance and risk management initiatives, maintaining accurate clinical records and statistical data as required.
Deliver training and educational services to inform military personnel, their families, and community members about family violence issues and available support services.

Provide after-hours on-call support for urgent family advocacy situations, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and victim advocacy.

II. Community Engagement
Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as military commands, to enhance prevention and response efforts related to family advocacy within the military community.

Represent the organization at community meetings, educating stakeholders about domestic violence and collaborating on service coordination for military families.
Provide consultation to military and civilian organizations regarding family advocacy processes and risk assessment methodologies.

III. Addressing Problematic Behaviors in Youth
Receive and respond to reports of concerning sexual behaviors in children and youth, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
Coordinate clinical services for affected children and families, including psychoeducational support and intervention strategies.

Serve as the primary case manager for these situations, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and reporting requirements.
Support families by providing safety planning information and coordinating community responses.

Present case reviews at multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case staff meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Possess and maintain a valid state clinical license that allows for independent practice and meets all regulatory requirements.

Maintain current continuing education credits to uphold licensure.
Demonstrate professional knowledge of various counseling techniques and group dynamics to effectively manage complex cases involving at-risk individuals and families.

Understand the dynamics of family violence and apply relevant diagnostic criteria to assess situations and develop safety plans.
Possess knowledge of military life and its associated challenges to support families effectively.

Exhibit expertise in treatment methodologies for abusers and victims, ensuring appropriate referrals and support services are provided.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to present sensitive information and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Manage multiple clients effectively, ensuring thorough documentation and reporting.
Utilize web-based applications and software for case management and documentation purposes.
