UPMC Life Changing Medicine is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Staff RN- ICU-, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and address complex medical issues.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- A current PA RN nursing license is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is necessary.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is also required.
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal are necessary.
