We are seeking an Electromechanical Technician I to join our Engineering Test Laboratory team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. As an Electromechanical Technician I, you will play a key role in testing and qualifying new product development projects, sustainability initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Testing and troubleshooting of new product development projects
- Supporting the build, installation, and qualification of Trane Applied Compression and Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products
- Collaborating with lab and engineering team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Assisting with the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of devices and systems
- Supporting product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting experimental test data
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An associate degree in Electromechanical / Electrical Mechanical or 2-year equivalent degree program in Electromechanical / Electronics at an accredited school
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong grasp of electronics principles and troubleshooting
- Basic grasp or willingness to learn refrigeration-related thermodynamic principles and mechanical troubleshooting
- A working knowledge or willingness to learn of measurement and control equipment (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, etc.), data acquisition, and communications
