Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Transportation Structural Engineer. This role will primarily involve executing structural engineering designs for a variety of clients, specifically focusing on projects associated with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct horizontal structural design for diverse highway, roadway, and bridge projects.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team, including Project Managers and Senior Engineers, to devise engineered solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Utilize CAD design software, including ORD and Civil 3D, for design and plan production.
  • Perform site visits to assess ongoing design projects.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in horizontal structural engineering is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is essential.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, KYTC, MUTCD, and ADA regulations is important.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • A collaborative attitude and commitment to teamwork are essential.
