Position Overview

The Bridgewater Club LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Aqua Fitness Group Leader to facilitate engaging group aqua fitness sessions and aqua joint mobility classes suitable for individuals of varying ages and fitness backgrounds. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach in addressing member needs and adapting exercises, with the capability to instruct both in the water and from the poolside.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Demonstrate leadership as the Aqua Fitness Group Leader.
  • Design, promote, and conduct safe and effective aqua fitness sessions.
  • Exhibit initiative in planning and executing activities.
  • Keep thorough records of activities and participant rosters.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including registration and incident reports.
  • Serve as a positive role model through exemplary attitude and conduct.
  • Create and uphold a supportive atmosphere that aligns with the needs, interests, and aspirations of each participant.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with fellow staff members.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Wellness Services Supervisor.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
Certifications
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
  • National Certification: All group fitness and aqua fitness instructors must possess a valid national certification (e.g., AEA, AFM, ACE, NDEITA, YMCA, ACSM, or similar).
Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and lift/move up to 30 pounds, while working near moving mechanical parts.

*Note: Employees leading morning classes may bring their children, ages 3 months to 5 years, at no additional cost.
