Music Educator for Drum Lessons

Bach to Rock is a dynamic music school with a passion for delivering exceptional music education to students of all ages. As a Drum Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the musical talents of our students and fostering a lifelong love for music.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of music concepts and be able to effectively communicate these concepts to students. Experience in teaching music theory and technique relevant to the drum instrument is also essential. Additionally, you will need to possess effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task during lessons, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.

We offer a unique opportunity to work in a fun and engaging environment with like-minded musicians. Our team handles the marketing, scheduling, booking, and billing aspects of lessons and group classes, allowing you to focus on what you do best - teaching.

The hourly rate for this position will be based on education, experience, expertise, and availability. As a locally owned and operated business, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Teaching private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock's curriculum and cover song arrangements
  • Creating an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
  • Assessing a student's readiness to join a band or ensemble
  • Assisting at school events
  • Repairing equipment as needed and able

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
