We provide individualized care services to individuals of all ages, groups, families, and couples.
Job DescriptionSkill Building Mentor
- Mentor youth in the community for skill building sessions.
- Coordinate with youth's therapist and guardian to achieve treatment goals.
- Assist youth in developing coping, life, social, behavior, and emotion management skills.
- Implement therapeutic interventions based on the youth's mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Coordinate care with collateral contacts.
- Provide telephone coaching and support as needed.
- Document all meetings and collateral contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct regular skill building sessions with youth in the community.
- Work closely with the youth's therapist and guardian to ensure seamless coordination and goal achievement.
- Help youth develop essential life skills, including coping mechanisms, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with collateral contacts to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Offer ongoing phone support and guidance to youth as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all meetings and interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
- Daily access to a registered and insured vehicle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and organize schedule and client services independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft computer systems.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Bilingual applicants encouraged.
- Ability to pass CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation.
