Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for leading our medication management team and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure efficient and effective medication management
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to complete home medication lists and admission medication reconciliation
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare professionals on proper medication usage
  • Adjust medication doses based on renal function and drug levels, as per Pharmacist, Supervisor, Chief, Medication, Pharmacy, Healthcare guidelines

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
