The Pastry Cook I role is a key position in the culinary team at Palmetto Bluff Investments LLC. This individual will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products for the restaurant and banquets, following menu descriptions and direction from the Pastry Chef. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and pastry creation, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in pastry culinary arts. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining the highest level of execution and quality food while following timelines and BEOs.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares and executes all menu items to specification, following directions from the Pastry Chef.
- Maintains the highest level of execution and quality food, while following timelines and BEOs.
- Ensures all mise en place is ready for the shift, and the workstation is set up based on menu items, banquet event orders, and specials.
- Follows proper sanitation and safety guidelines, and keeps the kitchen work and storage areas clean and organized.
- Inspects all food products to maintain proper appearance, colors, and appeal.
- Certified level cook and/or experience in food production and/or preparation.
- Minimum of 3 years' pastry culinary experience.
- Food & Beverage customer service experience.
- Food Handlers permit.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
