About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Island Attendant to join our team at Ryder in Columbia, South Carolina.

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our fueling facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel vehicles and maintain accurate records of fuel activity and inventory.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including tire repairs and alignments, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections on inbound units to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Report any service issues or concerns to the shop team.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more of related work experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to understand customer verbal communication.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
