Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Builder to join our team at JSP International's Milledgeville, IL plant. As a Tool Builder, you will be responsible for completing CNC setup, machining of parts, and building, assembling, and disassembling inspection fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Haas CNC mill, checking fixture (gauges) manufacture and assembly, inspection of Kanban parts, pins, small parts, and checking vents.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload billet, stock, and finished parts on and off mills, chip removal as required, and check and add coolant.
  • Daily rinse mills and weekly clean chip catcher in coolant tray.
  • Complete in-process quality checks (including visual checks) as required.
  • Continuously improve processes with CAD through the use of engineering feedback loop.
  • Attend production turnover meetings and assist in training with Shop Supervisor and senior Cell employees utilizing the "Training Tracker" system.
  • Utilize the shop-wide Kanban system and pull system-driven manufacturing system to support the overall manufacturing process.
  • Continuously maintain adherence to all attendance, safety, manufacturing, housekeeping, and clean-up policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and operate a calculator.
  • Ability to operate hand, power, pneumatic tools, hand-held measuring equipment, presses, and band saw.
  • Must have Welding skills and organizational skills.
  • CAD knowledge and skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer skills: MS Office, E-mail, spreadsheet applications.
