Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Builder to join our team at JSP International's Milledgeville, IL plant. As a Tool Builder, you will be responsible for completing CNC setup, machining of parts, and building, assembling, and disassembling inspection fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete CNC setup and machining of parts posted to your machines
  • Build, assemble, and disassemble inspection fixtures
  • Work with larger parts run on universal jig bars
  • Use back side setup and front side setup
  • Complete all fitting, assembly, and finish work after CAD and CNC work is complete
  • Ensure quality checks are completed as required
  • Continuously improve processes with CAD through the use of engineering feedback loop
  • Attend production turnover meetings and assist in training
  • Utilize the shop-wide Kanban system and pull system driven manufacturing system
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and operate a calculator
  • Ability to operate hand, power, pneumatic tools, hand-held measuring equipment, presses, and band saw
  • Welding skills and organizational skills
  • CAD knowledge and skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills: MS Office, email, spreadsheet applications
