RN Utilization Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled RN Utilization Manager to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our clinical care management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal use of healthcare resources while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical reviews to assess patient care progression and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans that meet patient needs and optimize resource utilization.
- Utilize approved criteria to conduct admission, continued stay, and discharge reviews, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and hospital policies.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze patient care and financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
- Two years of clinical experience in a medical facility and/or comparable utilization management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and other relevant software systems.
