At CIOX Health, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist I to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient health information.
Responsibilities:- Process and manage patient health records in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all privileged information.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and Company policies.
- Respond to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources.
- Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, faxing, and opening mail.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Previous production/metric-based work experience.
- In-person customer service experience.
