Job Summary

This position provides daily clinical support to the medical model for the delivery of primary care to patients and families at Metro Community Health Center. The ideal candidate will ensure productive and efficient operations of the department through timely and attentive clinical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate patient records and related administrative documentation.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills to use requisite tools, systems, technology, and equipment in collecting patient data.
  • Support the clinical operations of the health center according to policies and procedures.
  • Effectively manage patient records using computers.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with diverse patient populations.
Primary Functions
  • Ensure safe, productive, and efficient operation of assigned clinics through timely administrative and clinical support.
  • Perform duties including vital signs, assisting providers with procedures, providing patient education, conducting in-office testing as required.
  • Assist with quality assurance, quality controls, inventory management, and maintenance of clinical supplies.
  • Manage patient records and documents accurately and consistently with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure tasks comply with regulatory standards, clinic policies, and OSHA/CLIA requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a medical assistant course, including phlebotomy and injections.
  • Knowledge of medical practices and procedures in primary care environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with direct patient services and proper use of medical devices and equipment.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
