Job Announcement

Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is a leading public behavioral health care system serving Fairfax County in Northern Virginia. As a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medication as needed.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide emergency psychiatric evaluations.
  • Lead or participate in group therapy sessions for adolescents and children.
  • Counsel parents and caregivers on an individual and family basis.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine degree and completion of an accredited psychiatry residency training program.
  • Two years of experience in outpatient settings with medication management.
  • Current and valid license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Eligibility for Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as a psychiatrist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with treatment of serious mental illness and substance use disorders in a community setting.
  • Experience and skill set with children and adolescents.
  • Computer literacy.
