About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Traffic Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Pond & Company. As a key member of our Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning Group, you will be responsible for performing engineering assignments and interacting with staff from various backgrounds and specializations. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for this role.

Our Traffic Engineering Group in Peachtree Corners is a dynamic team that works on a variety of projects, including signal and ITS design, pedestrian crossing design, traffic engineering studies, corridor studies, intersection operations analysis and concept development, interchange studies, and signal timing. We provide engineering and planning expertise to our clients in city, state, and federal government, as well as private sector clients.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in an accredited Transportation/Civil Engineering program, a PE License, and 8+ years of hands-on experience with traffic engineering in areas such as traffic studies, signal design, ITS design, and signal timing. Experience with traffic analysis and reporting is also important, along with the ability to apply the Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and GDOT Policies and standards.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated depth and breadth of knowledge in Traffic Engineering, including a combination of intersection and corridor analysis, traffic simulation, traffic forecasting, safety analysis and design, signal timing, ICE analysis, signal design, ITS/Communications Design, and report writing/documentation. Leadership in project management, marketing, and managing/mentoring staff is also essential.
