Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting electrical components, systems, and subsystems.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a machine maintenance tech in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to repair and correct malfunctions.
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
