At MCI, we are seeking a skilled Telecom Network Specialist to join our team. As a Telecom Network Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground telecommunication lines and infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom systems and networks, including fiber optics and coaxial lines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and repairing telecom lines and cables, including fiber optic, copper, and coaxial lines
  • Climbing utility poles to access and string cable
  • Operating bucket trucks and related equipment to run new lines and make repairs
  • Planning and coordinating work orders and daily assignments
  • Collaborating with telecom engineers, foremen, and other technicians
  • Working outside in all weather and environmental conditions
  • Following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements for this position include:

  • 1 year experience as a telecom lineman
  • Knowledge of telecom systems and networks, including fiber optics and coaxial
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 70lb ladder
  • Full body mobility - twisting, turning, climbing, and standing for long periods
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Pass background check
