LVN - Landing at Watermere Frisco, Full Time 6am-2pm

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Watermere Frisco. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Collect and analyze pertinent health-related information.
- Implement service plans formulated by the Director of Health Services.
- Utilize safe and appropriate techniques/nursing skills in providing patient care.
- Report changes in patient status to supervisor.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation consistent with the service plan/plan of care.
- Communicate directly with other disciplines involved in patient care.
- Administer medication per physician orders.
- Assist patients in learning appropriate self-care activities.
- Organize and monitor human and material resources necessary for meeting needs of patients.
- Participate in staff development activities.
- Graduated from an accredited program for a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) and is currently licensed in the State of Texas.
- Has had at least one year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
- Has had experience in geriatric nursing, emergency care, first-aid.
- Must obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the State.
- Desirable to have training in the special needs of the cognitively impaired resident.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess the ability to work effectively with physicians, management, employees, and other outside contacts.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work with and supervise staff.
