Job Title: Emergency Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Emergency and Critical Care department at BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital.

About the Role:

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinary team. Your duties will include:

  • Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia in patients
  • Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs, and alerting veterinarians to changes and issues
  • Performing digital radiography and interpreting results
  • Calculating medical math and administering medications
  • Placing and maintaining feeding tubes and central line catheters
  • Mentoring and training other co-workers
  • Providing exceptional patient care and client service
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Veterinary Technician in an emergency and critical care setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring equipment, digital radiography, and medical math
  • Passion for mentoring and training others
