About the Role

Puratos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Bakery Specialist to join our team. As an Industrial Bakery Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new products and concepts on industrial lines, as well as troubleshooting technical issues at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new products and concepts on industrial lines, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Participate in the early stages of new developments and create demo concepts that showcase Puratos' technologies and market trends.
  • Lead the implementation of new concepts and technical solutions on the production line of our industrial bakery customers.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues at customer locations, responding to customer needs and identifying Puratos solutions that address the challenge.
  • Support sales efforts by identifying new business opportunities, detecting products at risk, and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Manage technical administration, including writing detailed reports and maintaining technical information.
  • Build expertise and network in the specialty area, becoming a leading expert in the product range and providing intelligence on innovative raw materials and technologies.
  • Assure premium performance of the R&D lab by designing standardized baking tests and respecting 5S and GMP policies.
  • Act with safety in mind, reporting food safety and quality issues to immediate supervisors and taking immediate action as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Academic degree: 4-year degree in Food Science or related field.
  • Work experience and training in Food Science, Food Technology, or similar.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial bakery production.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel: up to 70% of the time.
