- Lead and Participate in Shared Governance
- Participate in shared governance initiatives to improve patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and Maintain Clinical Expertise
- Stay current with the latest clinical research, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuing education, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Communicate Effectively
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Use therapeutic communication techniques to establish rapport, build trust, and promote positive relationships.
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience
- Two years of experience in a pre-op/PACU, ICU, or ED environment.
- Certifications and Licenses
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state licensure within 60 days.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Certifications
- CAPA or CPAN certification.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
