Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications that align with evolving business needs.
  • Utilize desktop GIS tools to analyze data and create maps for internal use.
  • Publish web layers and configure web applications for both internal and public access.
  • Execute daily tasks involving the integration of various data types into GIS databases, including text files, spreadsheets, aerial imagery, and manual digitization of maps.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure effective implementation of solutions, unit testing, and configuration management.
  • Employ programming languages such as Python to automate geoprocessing and web mapping tasks.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of GIS projects to meet customer objectives.
  • Establish and uphold quality control standards for system applications.
  • Participate in data capture and contribute to the design and development of geospatial databases.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate geospatial documentation for reference.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in the GIS field.
  • Assist in developing work plans for complex geospatial initiatives.
  • Efficiently manage geospatial databases and produce effective maps and aerial imagery.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in GIS or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting geospatial analysis using ESRI GIS products.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server, Portal, Web AppBuilder, and other web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online Administration.
  • Expertise in Geodatabase Schema Design and Implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-management abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography/GIS, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • GISP Certification.
  • Esri Training Certification.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office setting with a low to moderate noise level. The role primarily involves indoor work, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks that include using standard office equipment.
