Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IR technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to perform vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate fluoroscopic equipment to make special study radiographs of designated body portions
  • Position patients and immobilize as necessary
  • Assist radiologists during angiographic and interventional procedures
  • Set up sterile trays and other equipment practicing sterile technique
  • Scrub to assist with passage of catheters/guidewires
  • Load power injectors with contrast media and prepare for injection
  • Maintain studies within the Image archival system
  • Schedule patient procedures from referring physician's offices
  • Charge patients for procedures and supplies in EHR
  • Assist in orientation of new technologists and provide education and training to student technologists
Requirements
  • Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification
  • ARRT certification in radiography and vascular interventional technology
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to work with complex technology and assume a leadership role
