Criminal Justice Instructor

Alamance Community College is seeking a qualified Criminal Justice Instructor to teach courses at the high school level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, using various teaching techniques to support student learning. The instructor will teach Criminal Justice I and II courses, covering topics such as substance abuse, court procedures, evidence, criminology, ethics, criminal law, and juvenile justice. A Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is required, with three to five years of experience in the criminal justice profession preferred. The instructor will work with the Department Head for Criminal Justice and Fire Protection Technology to develop and implement curriculum. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff. The instructor will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student success, and contributing to the college's mission to provide high-quality education and training. The position is part-time, with a flexible schedule that includes teaching on Monday through Friday mornings.
