Medical Examiner for United States Veterans

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This is an exciting opportunity to serve our nation's heroes and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work closely with Veterans to review their medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams. You will then document your findings using the VA's electronic system. It's essential to note that this position does not involve making disability determinations; rather, it focuses solely on performing Disability Assessments. As a Medical Examiner, you will not treat patients or prescribe medication.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Stay organized and manage your time effectively to meet productivity requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and be proficient in computer usage. Our ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and location. Additionally, you can enjoy training and continued support provided by MRG Exams, health insurance options, and a computer supplied by the company. Working a set schedule during normal business hours, without being on call, allows for a great work-life balance. All work is performed in a clinical setting.
