Job Summary:

Ambulatory Infusion Registered Nurse

AleraCare, a leading provider of ambulatory infusion treatments and specialty pharmacy services, is seeking a Part-time Infusion Registered Nurse for our Yuma, AZ infusion center. This position is ideal for a licensed RN seeking a part-time opportunity in a dynamic and growing healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing services to assigned patients in accordance with the patient's plan of care.

Responsible for the clinical record for each patient receiving nursing care.

Assure that progress reports are made to the physician for patients receiving nursing services, when the patient's condition changes, or there are deviations from the plan of care.

Adhere to facility's policies and procedures, including patient care policies.

Perform initial patient evaluations/assessments and develop a written plan of care.

Regularly re-assess the patient's condition and nursing needs and update the plan of care.

Furnish those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.

Initiate appropriate preventive nursing procedures.

Prepare clinical and progress notes, coordinate services, inform the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs.

Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs.

Demonstrate competency in providing patient care and provide care in accordance with professional standards and state's nurse practice act.

Initiate case conferences and communicate patient plan of care with team members.

Evaluate and re-evaluate the need for services.

Provide appropriate patient education and teaching materials.

Participate in the Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.

Participate in committees when requested.

Attend continuing education programs and staff meetings as appropriate to job responsibilities.

Represent facility in a positive and professional manner.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited program and current RN license.

At least one year of nursing experience, infusion nursing experience is preferred.

Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.

Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.

Ability to recognize and direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider.

Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and email.

Current CPR card, health certificate, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.

The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
