Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct staff on proper communication protocol to answer questions, disseminate information, and address complaints.
- Assign staff to compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities and business transactions.
- Review and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
- Supervise the maintenance of workers' compensation files, inventory, mailing, and database systems.
Requirements:
- Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Ability to keep information organized and confidential.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Support staff experience as a legal assistant in a worker's compensation office preferred.
