Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods and supplies throughout our campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Retrieve Equipment and Supplies: Transport and deliver a variety of equipment, supplies, and other items to patient care areas in support of our Service Level Agreement (SLA) to ensure the continuity of patient care.
  • Maintain Designated Storage Areas: Ensure that equipment and supplies are stored in designated areas and that equipment is brought to and pulled from these areas as needed.
  • Work with Maintenance: Identify and tag unserviceable pieces of equipment and work with maintenance to ensure that broken equipment is repaired in a timely manner.
  • Transport Specimens: Transport specimens from patient divisions to clinical laboratories and operate the tube system to ensure proper movement of patient specimens or information.
  • Utilize Department Information Systems: Utilize department information systems to retrieve, monitor, and perform basic missions.
  • Perform Other Department Duties: Perform other duties as requested by the department, including filling isolation stations on patient care units and assisting in the processing of contaminated Central Supply items.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of experience in hospital supply operations or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, read, write, understand, and follow specific written and verbal instructions and procedures. Basic math skills and basic level computer skills to operate a PC in a Windows environment.
