Join Our Core Tax Services Team

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to support our Louisville, Kentucky market on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days/week in office). As a key member of our Core Tax Services team, you will play a critical role in managing client tax compliance needs, anticipating tax and business issues, and recognizing tax planning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solve complex tax problems for middle-market clients in various industries, including manufacturing, real estate, and construction.
  • Manage engagements and provide expert review of complex individual and partnership returns.
  • Build and serve high net-worth individual clients with estate, gift, and trust tax planning and compliance needs.
  • Leverage strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead tax staff, seniors, and managers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional client service skills and lead by example.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's preferred.
  • Must be CPA certified with an active CPA license.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporation, LLC, and Partnership taxation.
  • Demonstrated background in working with pass-through entity taxation.
  • Preferred partnership experience includes entity structuring, operating agreement review and consultation, compliance, allocations, partner transactions, and related matters.
  • Experience with complex individual tax compliance and planning, as well as estate tax compliance and planning, is a plus.
