Position Summary:
The Licensed Pharmacy Associate plays a crucial role in supporting licensed pharmacists by accurately dispensing prescribed medications and healthcare products to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists in the accurate dispensing of medications and healthcare products.
2. Professionally receive prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics.
3. Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, mix, pack, and label products under the supervision of a pharmacist.
4. Maintain customer profiles and prepare necessary insurance documentation.
5. Operate the cash register and ensure all checkout procedures are completed accurately and promptly.
6. Stock and manage inventory of pharmacy merchandise, notifying the Pharmacy Manager of any supply needs.
7. Assist with the maintenance and stocking of pharmacy automation systems.
8. Handle outdated and damaged products according to established guidelines.
9. Ensure a clean and well-organized work environment that meets company standards.
10. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (required).
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, and guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and insurance plans.
- Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include the ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate will be required to stand and walk for extended periods and may need to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typical of a retail setting, with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions.
