Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NOC/DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of network protocols, troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Performance Monitoring: Utilize tools like Grafana, Prometheus, NMAP, and Wireshark to monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
  • Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, following established incident management procedures.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough troubleshooting of network components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • System Administration: Perform system administration tasks on Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Documentation and Diagrams: Create and maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Network Security: Implement and monitor network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs, to ensure the integrity of our network.
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate network tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members to achieve common goals, share knowledge, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on new technologies and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve network performance and security.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations or system administration.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching, as well as familiarity with network protocols and monitoring tools.
  • Operating Systems: Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, including experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Network Security: Understanding of network security practices and experience with implementing and monitoring security measures.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Customer service orientation and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to work flexible hours in a 24/7 NOC environment.
  • Travel: Potential travel to data centers or client sites may be required.
