Department Overview:

Our Wireless Deployment team is pioneering the nation’s first cloud-native, standalone 5G wireless network, setting the stage for a connected future that meets the evolving social, economic, and transformative demands of today and tomorrow.

Role Responsibilities:

The Procurement Specialist will serve as a key contributor, supporting a variety of strategic and operational functions within the Sourcing and Procurement teams. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about enhancing business processes. This position will engage in change management initiatives, sourcing and procurement activities, program management, and ensure execution and accountability within the team while liaising with all organizational levels. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and executing procurement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency while managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining positive interactions with internal clients.
  • Assisting in the development of Vendor Management programs, leveraging experience in vendor relations.
  • Facilitating vendor onboarding, part number setup, purchase requisitions, delivery tracking, and other administrative procurement tasks.
  • Creating program plans and reporting metrics to enhance strategic, tactical, and efficient team operations.
  • Supporting the formulation of detailed purchasing plans for material requirement planning, multi-source vendor qualification, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Program Management, coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and methodologies, with familiarity in suppliers providing wireless network materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of wireless network infrastructure and industry standards is advantageous.
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Analytical capabilities in operations and finance.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite products along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to foster consensus and achieve results in cross-functional team settings.
  • Detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and a proficient problem solver.
  • A passion for collaborative environments and building strong relationships across the organization.
