As a vital member of our team, the Bartender will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to our guests. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays, to ensure our guests receive the best experience possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with light meals, in accordance with hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards set forth by the hotel and relevant health regulations.
- Engage with guests to address any inquiries or concerns, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate effectively with management and fellow staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the Food and Beverage Department.
- At least one year of experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to read and understand safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
- Food safety training and certifications such as ServSafe are advantageous.
- Completion of alcohol awareness training, such as TIPS, is beneficial.
- Understanding of food and beverage cost management.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of local attractions and activities to enhance guest experiences.
